The DD Audio HI-DEF SL612 is a 12-inch (30 cm) flat subwoofer with a very low installation depth.
It features a high-temperature 2.5-inch voice coil, a 72oz magnet, and venting of the voice coil gap at the back plate.
The construction includes an EROM surround, a dual-layer spider system, and a three-layer flat diaphragm cone.
A DD aluminum die-cast frame is integrated.
The power ratings are 300–600 W RMS and 1200 W peak power.
The impedance is specified as D2 or D4.
Technical specifications include Xmax 14.5 mm, Xmech 40 mm, Fs 27 Hz, Qts 0.409, and Vas 68.349 liters.
Recommended enclosure: sealed 22.5–42 liters, bass reflex 28–50 liters.
