The R2-W12D2/D4 from Alpine is a 12-inch Subwoofer of the second generation of the R-Series with a power handling of 750 Watts RMS and a peak power of 2250 Watts.
The device features a dual voice coil with a diameter of 65 mm and is available in impedance variants of 2 Ohm + 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm + 4 Ohm.
Technical features include a double-layer magnetic structure with an integrated short circuit ring and a Kevlar-coated cone.
The diaphragm is made of a polypropylene-ceramic composite material and is surrounded by a High Amplitude Multi-Roll rubber surround.
A twist-lock mounting system allows for tool-free installation of grille covers.
The maximum total excursion of the diaphragm is 20 mm.
